Am I Committed?
Lately, I've been questioning my commitment to the my search for the right guy. I obviously have a huge lack of it, proof of it being this blog. I've come to the realization that I'm not sure if I've ever really fully commited to very much at all lately. I'm not exactly reliable when it comes to committing to anything. I drop something as soon as a sign of interest creeps up. Example number one, cooking. I used to cook regularly, it was my stress reliever. I bought many cook books, had frequent trips to the grocery store, and then one day as soon as it was recognized as an actual interest, something I should pursue further, I dropped it. I'm not sure where those actions derive from. I just know that it is something that is recognizable in alot of what I do and contributes very much so to my overwheliming indeciveness. In conclusion, this very well may be a huge factor on why my search seems to be indefinite. Until I fully commit to finding him, I will always be constantly asking "Where is he already?".

Just Keep Swimming
Dates: 0
Prospects: 0
I often compare dating to being in the swimming pool. My pool isn't a very large pool and it's not very deep. It's a pool not for adventurous dating. It's a comfort pool. The water won't go over my head and I don't have to worry about drowning in the deep end. Who's in my pool? It's always the same guys, and they don't want to get out! Maybe the water in my pool is too warm. Here's a list of my swimmers.
Mr. Floater - He wants to date, but he's just not ready to commit to it. He's happily going to float along until the air goes out of his floater.
Mr. Back Strokes - He's swimming backwards, while I'm swimming forward. All he can see is what he's missed, not what's right in front of him.
Mr. Under Water - He hasn't come to surface yet, so I don't even know he's swimming in my pool.
Mr. Laps - He's constantly swimming from one end to the other. He's so busy swimming, he keeps passing me by.
Mr. Right please get me out of this pool!

New Year New Beginning
Here we go again! First, I apolgize for my lack of commitment to this blog. I'm starting fresh this year promising to make an real effort and really commit to finding Mr. Right. My dating life wasn't too exciting over the past year. It's pretty obvious from my short recap of 2010 dates.
Date #1 - Overall pretty good at first, but then we watched Heath Ledger's last film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus". It's probably what watching a movie on drugs feels like. I wouldn't recommend it. I kinda blew the chances of having a second date by not keeping touch, definitely my loss.
Date #2 - We went to his friends Superbowl party. It seemed pretty harmless and a good way to meet new people. His friends were pretty nice, but he ignored me for most of the night. The party ended with a prank call to his coworker. I didn't particpate. I was on a date with a high schooler trapped in a 28 year old body. Needless to say, there was no second date.
Date #3 - My date was sick and he made it very clear by whining about it like a baby the whole time. The highlight was when he hit his funny bone and howled "Owwwwwww", for what felt like a whole minute. Come on be a man, or at least pretend to be! I need a guy who can take pain like a real man.
Date #4 - We went to starbucks and he ordered first to avoid paying for my $4 coffee. Suffice to say, it was a pretty short date.
Date #5 - I was an hour late, not good on my part. I was pleasantly suprised that he wasn't mad at all and was very cool about it. The date went very well, and then I slipped and invited him to my girls night out plans afterwards. He drank too much, and came on too strong. That was the end of that!
Date #6-#12 - This was a weekend thing, so it should count as 6 dates at least. They were all with the same guy I had been talking to for a few months. I had a good time, just wasn't certain if I liked him enough to string him along until I figured it out. We had the I just want to be friends talk, and haven't talked since.
That pretty much sums up last year. I'm now moving on to a new year and hopefully a new me. Wish me luck, I just may need it : )
